Scholarship Luncheon 2023

The Plainfield-Brunswick Branch of the National Association of University Women (NAUW) was organized in the spring of 1951 under the leadership of Ellen Maury Hairston. The Branch was formally chartered on June 24, 1954. 

 

The Branch focuses on the following programs and activities:

  • Health and Wellness

  • Educational Development

  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Support

  • Political Awareness and Civic Engagement

  • Literacy

  • Sister's Connect

  • Thanksgiving Baskets for Disadvantaged Families

  • Warm hats and mittens to disadvantaged families

  • Distribution of book bags/backpacks for community children

  • Scholarships to high school graduating seniors

 

 

Are you interested in joining the NAUW?

 

Membership Criteria:

 

Any woman of good character holding a baccalaureate or higher degree from an institution, which is listed by the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare in an accredited higher institution, may be admitted to membership in the Branch.
